What We Provide
Students will develop foundational skills and the ability to work with literature and informational texts. This includes: understanding print concepts, phonological awareness, phonics and word recognition, and fluency. While working with different types of texts, students will learn to understand key ideas and details, vocabulary and structure, integration of knowledge and ideas, range of reading, and level of complexity.
Students will develop and strengthen writing skills to be able to support their opinions, demonstrate understanding of subjects, convey real and imagined experiences and events, develop the capacity to build knowledge through research, and respond analytically to literary and informational sources.
These sessions are offered to K-8 students and adult learners.
Math sessions cover Common Core standards of: counting and cardinality, operations and algebraic thinking, number and operations in base ten, measurement and data, and geometry. Each common core standard will be explored in line with your child's grade and/or learning level.
